Abstract: The General High School Chinese Curriculum Standards (2017 Edition, Revised 2020) emphasizes that senior high school novel teaching must be based on real classroom processes, take text close reading as the starting point and student critical thinking as the core, and implement core Chinese literacy through authentic teacher-student interaction and inquiry-based discussion. The conventional classroom teaching of Lu Xun’s Blessing in current senior high Chinese education generally suffers from procedural emptiness, rigid interpretation and weakened critical thinking. Most teaching practices replace student-generated insights with teacher preset conclusions and substitute routine appreciation for in-depth study of textual details, resulting in formalistic classroom procedures and depriving students of real reading experience, viewpoint collision and thinking development.

Based on the real classroom teaching case of Blessing included in the compulsory Volume II of senior high Chinese textbooks, this paper focuses on the complete practical classroom procedures and innovatively implements an immersive classroom process of “cognitive breakthrough — blank close reading — stratified critical thinking — summary and sublimation — transfer and application”. Without relying on intelligent auxiliary tools, the teaching design carries out student-text dialogue, group inquiry and classroom debate based on original textual resources. This paper fully presents real classroom procedures, teacher-student interaction details, student-generated questions and classroom adjustment strategies. Through classroom process review, it analyzes the advantages and deficiencies of the teaching practice, summarizes replicable practical approaches for classic novel classroom teaching, and provides front-line practical cases for the implementation of authentic, in-depth and critical classrooms in senior high Chinese novel teaching.
