The American Teaching Research Association (ATRA) is a national classroom teaching research organization that aims to innovate teaching methods, promote academic exploration and theoretical development of classroom teaching, and use research results to improve teaching efficiency.

About ATRA organizational structure and governance

The American Teaching Research Association (ATRA) is committed to improving the overall efficiency of school teaching activities through communication, collaboration, promoting academic exploration, and facilitating the dissemination and practical application of research results.
The governance structure of ATRA consists of a shareholders' meeting, an academic committee, and an executive committee.
Shareholders' meeting: composed of all participating personnel, exercising voting rights according to the proportion of shares. The shareholders' meeting does not directly participate in management, and the members of the academic committee shall be elected or dismissed by the shareholders' meeting.
Academic Committee: It is the highest academic review and decision-making body of the association, with the authority to conduct academic oversight and review of the association's activities and projects within the scope specified in the articles of association. It is responsible for the academic appraisal and recognition of the association's journal and various awards, and provides guidance for academic exchange activities. The academic committee consists of one chairman, three vice chairmen, and five members. The chairman is elected by the shareholders' meeting and elected by the academic committee, and the vice chairman is appointed by the chairman. The term of office is 5 years, and upon expiration, the candidate can be re elected. The chairman may convene a plenary meeting according to specific circumstances and actual needs. Both the chairman and vice chairman have the right to recommend members. All members of the academic committee also serve as editorial board members of the Journal of Teaching Review, with the chairman serving as the editor in chief and the vice chairman as the deputy editor in chief. All members of the academic committee also serve as judges of the award committee, with the chairman serving as the chairman of the committee and the vice chairman serving as the vice chairman of the committee.

As the daily management and executive body of the association, responsible for implementing various tasks stipulated in the constitution, organizing academic seminars and exchanges globally, operating the publication "Teaching Review", and organizing awards and inspection activities. Implement the resolutions of the academic committee. The members of the Executive Committee include the Chairman and Vice Chairmen, the Director General (responsible for national affairs), and the Director General (responsible for regional affairs).
