 Find the "pivot" and guide students into life

Chinese language learning has two processes, namely input and output. Reading belongs to the input process, while writing belongs to the output process. In primary school Chinese language teaching, teachers can only output by ensuring a certain amount of input for students. This article aims to improve students' writing skills and explore strategies for guiding composition teaching in higher grades of primary schools,

In primary school Chinese language teaching, composition teaching is the highlight. Therefore, teachers should start with the cognitive patterns and interests of senior students, guide them step by step, and help them find the pivot to "pick up the pen" and write compositions full of "human touch".

1、 Closely connect with daily life and strengthen content guidance

Life is the birthplace of primary school composition teaching, which is the main consensus formed by primary school composition teaching. Due to age limitations, many students are unable to find suitable writing materials from their daily lives and lack a pair of eyes to discover beauty, which leads to their inability to start writing and the resulting articles are not vivid enough. Therefore, teachers need to start from daily life, organically integrate teaching content with life, and through the transformation between life elements and writing elements, make the composition materials more abundant, so that students feel that the composition materials are not "hard to find", but "visible everywhere". By utilizing this cognitive transformation, students can gain inspiration and help form better writing strategies. Teachers should not only guide students, but also encourage them to put it into practice, actively participate in material collection activities, and make them play to their strengths and avoid weaknesses in writing activities, and exchange ideas.

For example, in the writing teaching of "Ji Jing", in order to cultivate students' ability to observe scenery carefully and let them grasp the changes and characteristics of the scenery to write, teachers can guide students to step out of the classroom, enter nature, and appreciate the beauty of life. For example, by observing the sunrise, students can write according to the order before, during, and after sunrise.

For example, when writing about natural landscapes, students can write in order of distance and proximity while observing. Therefore, teachers should start with students in writing teaching, strengthen content guidance, and make life an inexhaustible source of inspiration for primary school students' compositions. Writing should no longer be a difficult point in the eyes of teachers or a problem in the eyes of students, and the joy of writing should gradually be integrated into writing teaching, opening up students' "life journey" in their writing.

2、 Strengthen technical guidance and improve writing skills

Essay writing itself is a process of continuous innovation and evolution, which is also the expected pattern in primary school writing teaching. However, in the process of writing review and grading, teachers can still find that there are a large number of phenomena such as "keeping a journal", "multiple uses in one article", and "copying a cat and drawing a tiger" in elementary school students' compositions. The fundamental reason for these problems lies in the fact that students still need to improve their writing skills, making it difficult for them to construct their own unique writing thinking, resulting in having nothing to say and no emotions to express in writing. Teachers need to strengthen their technical guidance for this. An excellent essay should have a beginning and end, prominent themes, clear ideas, and fluent language. Therefore, teachers should strengthen guidance on students' writing skills in advanced composition teaching.

For example, in teaching narrative essays about "My Day", it is important to focus on guiding the sequence of events and ensuring a complete timeline. Teachers can strengthen students' basic writing skills and help them understand how to write according to time, thereby improving the quality of their writing. As the saying goes, 'the phoenix head and the leopard tail.' Therefore, in composition teaching, teachers should explain to students the highlights of the analyzed articles and encourage them to learn more classic model essays. Through analysis, students can internalize this ability and write wonderful, beautiful, and heart wrenching endings in their writing. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen the application of modification methods. For an excellent essay, rhetorical devices such as metaphor, contrast, personification, and parallelism are also indispensable. For example, in the essay teaching of "Hometown 20 Years Later", teachers can guide students to unleash their imaginative power, and through imitation or the use of contrast and vocabulary editing, make the essay no longer just a "paper talk".

3、 Cultivate writing habits and accumulate writing materials

Undoubtedly, good habits benefit people throughout their lives. The primary school stage is the "budding stage" of students' lives, and it is a critical period for behavior change habits and the formation of correct values. Therefore, teachers should start from students' interests and hobbies in higher grade composition teaching, and strengthen the cultivation of students' good writing habits. Diaries are an indispensable part of primary school composition teaching. To improve students' writing skills, teachers should teach them to persist in writing diaries, cultivate their habit of writing diaries, and promote their ability to use words and express themselves. For example, teachers can tell students a small story every day and ask them to record it or ask students to record what they see and hear throughout the day. During this process, teachers need to regularly check and give students pressure and motivation through inspection, and cultivate the habit of writing diaries through long-term persistence. It is very important to strengthen students' reading guidance in order to improve their writing ability. Therefore, teachers should guide students to read extensively in senior writing teaching, enrich their cultural heritage through a large amount of high-quality reading, learn beautiful chapters, and apply them to their own writing. In addition, teachers should teach students to choose books that are suitable for their interests, hobbies, and age characteristics, such as "The Little Prince", "The Drifting of Lu Bingxun", etc., to ensure the effectiveness of reading and achieve the goal of reading thousands of books, traveling thousands of miles, and writing with ease. During the reading process, teachers should guide students to write essays, take notes, timely extract exciting sentences, constantly enrich their writing materials, and promote the improvement of their writing abilities.

In short, composition is the highlight of Chinese language teaching, so teachers need to start from closely connecting with life, strengthening content guidance, skill guidance, improving writing skills, cultivating writing habits, accumulating writing materials, etc., so that composition is no longer a problem in the eyes of students, and can achieve dynamic writing with spirit.
