A Brief Discussion on Teaching Strategies for Building a Framework and Creating Scenarios under the Background of the New Curriculum Standards

[Abstract]: Composition teaching plays a very important role in primary school Chinese language teaching and is the top priority of Chinese language teaching. In the teaching of composition, how to better achieve teaching results and provide students with words to write and content to write has always been a research topic for Chinese language teachers. Some senior students have learned some writing methods but still feel unable to start writing. The author focuses on the practical experience gained from frontline teaching and briefly discusses the teaching methods of writing for upper primary school students.

1、The important role of writing for students
(1) Expression and communication help students improve their core literacy in Chinese language
The "Chinese Language Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education (2022 Edition)" proposes "expression and communication", which is the result of the times and the call of teachers. The new curriculum standard points out that "the compulsory education Chinese language curriculum revolves around the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, fully exerting its unique educational function and foundational role, with the goal of promoting the development of students' core literacy, and taking literacy and writing, reading and appreciation, expression and communication, sorting and exploration and other Chinese language practice activities as the main line, comprehensively constructing a literacy based curriculum goal system". It can be seen that "expression and communication" mainly refers to practical activities in the field of Chinese language, and parallel practical activities include literacy and handwriting, reading and appreciation, sorting and exploration. Students continuously enhance their core literacy in Chinese language through practical activities such as "expression and communication", including cultural confidence, language proficiency, thinking ability, and aesthetic creation.
(2) Expression and communication help cultivate students' aesthetic taste
Children who can observe life are full of happiness. If you have a pair of discerning eyes, you can discover all kinds of beauty in the life around you. Writing can help students accumulate aesthetic experience: in addition to using classroom teaching to guide students to explore aesthetic resources in textual materials, activities can also help students experience and understand the different beauties presented in texts.
2、Teaching Strategies for Writing in Higher Primary School Grades
(1) Create scenarios to stimulate writing interest
Creating specific contexts is an effective measure to stimulate interest, and it is the source for students to enhance their life experience, stimulate their thinking, activate their desires, and stimulate their writing motivation. There are many specific ways to create writing scenarios, such as using photos and images, and organizing activities such as small games, performances, animations, and music appreciation to stimulate students' interest.
(2) Build a stand to help express personality
Use the bracket to clarify 'what to write'. Refined writing guidance helps students clarify their writing ideas. Before students start learning this assignment, based on the assignment objectives, estimate their interests, life experiences, etc., and use scaffolding to stimulate their enthusiasm for learning, activate their thinking, and take the first step towards the assignment.
Using a bracket, learn how to write. In the process of writing, the teacher is a guide and should provide necessary support for students' learning. Taking the essay "Beautiful Here" as an example, by using scaffolding to guide students to learn how to write key sentences in the essay, and connecting their own lives around the key sentences in a certain order to describe the relevant scenery, the appearance of the scenery, and their own feelings. Guide students to use scaffolding three times, step by step, to transform difficult assignments into directional and thought-provoking ones.
Building a framework for students in composition teaching can help them have a legal basis, establish writing confidence, and lay a solid foundation for their writing.
(3) Diversified evaluation, activating writing thinking
The writing for the upper grades of elementary school not only requires the article to be unconventional in terms of conception, design, format, language, etc., but also requires breakthroughs in evaluation, so as to guide students to start from their familiar lives, unleash their imagination, and write creative works.
Change the evaluation objective from "focusing on scores" to "promoting development"; The evaluation subject has changed from "absolute authority" to "multiple subjects", the evaluation criteria have changed from "unified requirements" to "each with its own focus", and the evaluation process has changed from "terminal evaluation" to "full process evaluation". Through practical research from multiple dimensions, using evaluation to promote teaching, improvement, thinking, and writing can drive the development of writing among senior students and make every pencil fall in love with writing.
3、Conclusion
Writing is an important part of Chinese language learning in the upper grades of primary school. In teaching, we should start from the students, integrate them into life, adopt various training forms, use diverse evaluation methods, increase their interest in writing, ignite their desire for writing, and maintain their enthusiasm for writing. As a teacher, it is even more important to explore effective methods of composition teaching, constantly improve and practice diligently, and teach methods. We believe that students will think, know, and enjoy writing, and composition teaching will embark on a successful path.
