[Abstract]: “Integration of teaching evaluation” is a new concept proposed by the new Chinese language curriculum standards, emphasizing teaching through evaluation and promoting teaching through evaluation. The teaching of unit exercises in the middle and upper grades of primary school should improve teaching effectiveness through the integration of teaching evaluation under the concept of core competencies. The article takes the composition teaching of the composition unit in the second volume of the fifth grade Chinese textbook as an example, aiming to achieve the integration of teaching and evaluation by constructing composition methods through group reading, enhancing composition thinking through learning and communication, and improving core literacy through composition evaluation, in order to better achieve the objectives of composition teaching.

The 2022 version of the Chinese Language Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education states that teachers should establish an awareness of "integrated teaching evaluation". Under the integration of teaching and evaluation, the goal of composition teaching is the soul, activities should be the path, and evaluation should be the driving force. The three interact with each other to promote the sustained and comprehensive development of students' writing ability. Improving students' written pragmatic skills, language thinking, and language expression abilities in teaching and learning through the integration of teaching and evaluation is an effective method of composition teaching. This article takes the example of the unit composition teaching of "Various People" in Unit 5 of the second volume of the unified fifth grade textbook, and explores how to apply the "teaching evaluation integration" teaching to the practice of unit composition teaching.
1、 Teaching "- Constructing Writing Methods in Group Reading
①Establish read-write associations and learn writing strategies.
There is an organic unity between reading and writing, and reading provides valuable themes, materials, and methods for writing. In the process of unit writing, it is important not to separate the reading and writing sections, but to establish connections and connections between them. Especially, reading should guide writing training and make text reading the best "example" to enhance students' writing skills.
The fifth unit of the second volume of fifth grade is a writing unit. The reading element of this unit is to "learn the basic methods of describing characters", and the writing element is to "preliminarily apply the basic methods of describing characters and try to write a person's characteristics in detail". Through group reading, quickly review and recite each article silently, and then complete the group reading task: ① Which basic methods of character description were used in the three texts of "A Group of Character Descriptions" and "Brush Li"? Please draw the corresponding sentences in the texts. ② What role do these descriptive methods play in highlighting the characteristics of character images? Give an example to illustrate. ③ Through the reading of this unit, do you think that in order to write about the characteristics of a character's image, besides detailed descriptions, what should be paid attention to? By returning to the text and focusing on specific sentences and paragraphs, students can learn how to use language, actions, expressions, psychology, and other details to depict characters, and how to choose typical materials to enhance their expressive effects. This will enable students to master writing strategies through reading and writing associations.
②Enrich writing guidance and implement language elements.
Students need to understand the methods of character description, learn how to select materials, find typical examples that truly reflect the characteristics of characters from numerous materials, and use certain character description methods to depict characters.
The unit assignment requires prompts for writing about "all kinds of people", including grandparents, teachers, classmates, bus drivers, traffic police, etc. It should be emphasized to students that no matter which person they choose to write about, it must be someone they are familiar with. Only in this way can we capture the characteristics and charm of the characters, and write with more emotion and depth. After determining the writing object, encourage students to observe or recall the appearance, behavior, habits, and preferences of the characters, pay attention to their reactions and performances in different occasions and situations, and make records. Carefully consider what characteristics of the characters can be best reflected in these situations, what stories and plots can demonstrate this characteristic, and then use character description methods to describe them, paying attention to combining specific details to reflect.
2、 Learning "- Enhancing Writing Thinking through Learning and Communication
The content of the composition unit textbook closely follows the elements of Chinese language, and the intensive reading of the text contains rich methods of character description, shaping distinctive character images. The "communication platform" and "composition example" sections provide students with method guidance and model examples, while the "first test of skills" and "composition" sections provide students with language practice opportunities.
Professor Wu Zhonghao pointed out that in order to achieve the successful transformation of language elements and expression abilities, it is necessary to follow the laws of language ability generation in practice.
①Use communication platforms to think about writing methods.
The process of learning is a process of exchanging ideas, and composition teaching should allow students to share and exchange their writing experiences, insights, and personalized understanding, learn from each other, and develop and improve together. The composition unit consciously arranges the "communication platform" as a learning section, which allows students to engage in dialogue and exchange around the composition under the guidance of the teacher, develop composition thinking, and gain understanding and inspiration through communication.
In the "Communication Platform" of "Various People", the teacher proposes a communication "topic": "Through the study of this unit's text, everyone believes that in order to write a good character, reflect the characteristics and image of the character, what aspects can we start from?" This core question directly touches on the language elements of this unit. Students expressed their opinions one after another: "There are various ways to express the characteristics of characters, such as the wonderful description of Gazi and Pangdun's movements in 'Wrestling', where a series of verbs depict the exciting scene of wrestling; in 'He's Like a Straightening Tree', the strong and capable image of Xiangzi is vividly portrayed through portrait description; in 'Two Stems of Lamp Grass', the example of Yan Jiansheng's reluctance to use lamp grass before his death, combined with the description of Yan Jiansheng's movements and demeanor, as well as the portrayal of people around him, highlights Yan Jiansheng's extremely stingy and ugly state." Through the exchange of classmates, everyone has a better understanding of how to write character images specifically. I have a deeper understanding of the methods and strategies used in writing.
②Appreciate the sample essay and select typical examples.
Taking "A Group of Character Depictions: Two Stems of Lamp Grass" as an example, the author selected a very typical scene of Yan Jiansheng dying. The two fingers that Yan Jiansheng stretched out before his death triggered various speculations among the people in the room. Faced with different speculations, Yan Jiansheng's actions and expressions vividly depicted his struggling struggle due to the "two stems of lamp grass", highlighting his extremely stingy nature.
In the "Writing" section, the textbook presents examples of "Uncle's Excellent Memory" in the form of pictures, and students can analyze which examples can reflect the characteristic of "Excellent Memory". Example 1: He can remember all the details of a storybook, indicating that his memory is "extraordinary"; Example 2: He remembered a sentence I said yesterday, but it couldn't reflect "exceptional memory" because ordinary people can do it too; Example 3: He remembers my birthday, although it can also reflect his strong memory, it cannot reflect "outstanding" and is not typical enough; Example 4: He can draw the map without any mistakes after looking at it once, highlighting the characteristic of "outstanding memory". Therefore, to demonstrate the characteristic of "uncle's exceptional memory", examples 1 and 4 can be selected.
3、 'Evaluation' - Enhancing Core Competencies in Writing Evaluation
Writing evaluation is an important part of writing teaching and a crucial guarantee for implementing unit language elements. Under the guidance of "integrated teaching evaluation", the evaluation of composition teaching requires more attention to students' mastery of the text framework and language details during the composition process, as well as their overall experience and feelings towards the composition. Designing evaluation tasks based on teaching objectives is a systematic task that takes into account both individual differences and particularities of students, as well as the stage and overall achievement of objectives. Moreover, evaluation should run through the entire teaching process, and the subjects of evaluation should be diverse to ensure the visualization of the learning process and the authenticity of the evaluation.
①Reflect diversified evaluation subjects and promote the advancement of abilities.
Diversification of evaluation subjects is an important concept and direction of current evaluation reform. In this unit of learning, a self-evaluation and peer evaluation session was organized: whose manuscript selected the most typical examples, which can specifically express the characteristics of the characters, and whose character images are more vivid? Students discuss the "specific characteristics of characters" and evaluate, question, and correct their own or others' works through reading, thinking, and suggestions. Through in-depth comparison, analysis, and modification, students gain a more comprehensive understanding of their own or others' works. Through mutual learning and appreciation, students train their independent and critical thinking skills, and promote the advancement of their evaluation and revision abilities through mutual assistance.
②Use a gauge to evaluate writing and improve writing skills.
The Homework Classroom Evaluation Scale provides students with diagnostic prompts and tools, which can help them learn more writing knowledge and cultivate their critical ability towards articles. During the writing process, students assess their current writing skills based on the evaluation criteria of class hours, and make timely revisions if any problems are identified; When revising assignments, teachers guide students to use evaluation scales to follow up on revisions, carefully read the "revision scales" and feedback provided by peers or teachers, and constantly reflect and adjust themselves. Students absorb the strengths of others' writing through activities such as self-evaluation and self correction, peer evaluation and mutual improvement, and teacher-student joint evaluation, thereby improving their critical thinking ability and writing level (see Table 1).
Table 1 Evaluation Criteria for Class Hours of "Various People"
Evaluation criteria for "specific expression of character characteristics": self-evaluation, peer evaluation, and teacher evaluation
1. The things written can well reflect the characteristics of the characters
2. Able to use the methods learned to provide detailed descriptions of characters
3. Be able to choose typical examples and concretely express the characteristics of characters through language, actions, appearance, demeanor, psychology, etc
The integrated teaching evaluation model fully embodies the teaching philosophy of "student-centered, teacher led, and aiming to cultivate students' language abilities". In the process of teaching, learning, and evaluation, it is important to learn the content of unit composition teaching, master unit composition strategies, improve students' language construction and application abilities, promote the development and improvement of students' composition thinking, and make composition teaching an effective bridge for cultivating students' core competencies.
