How to stimulate students' interest in learning

The new curriculum standards point out that writing teaching should be close to students' reality, making it easy for them to write and enjoy expressing themselves. Students should be guided to pay attention to reality, love life, and express their true feelings. In daily essay guidance classes, we should fully reflect the requirements of the new curriculum, return the classroom to students, allow them to freely reproduce life, talk about life, appreciate life, and express life, make the classroom attractive like a magnet, and become a hall for students to linger and travel back and forth.
1、 Inspire interest and ignite passion for writing
Interest is the best teacher and the most important internal driving force for writing. To activate children's creative desire in composition teaching, teachers must always maintain a pure childlike heart, using "childlike innocence" and "childlike fun" to pluck the strings of poetry in their hearts and stimulate their enthusiasm for writing. For example, once I was in an essay class, at the beginning of the class, I passionately recited a poem: 'If it weren't for the spring planting and autumn harvest of the farmer uncle, we would be starving.'; If there were no textile workers spinning and weaving, we would be bare chested; If it weren't for the postman delivering the message, we would be as deaf as blind. If there were people from all walks of life, our ships could return, and with the hard work of workers from all walks of life, our world would become more and more beautiful. After reciting, I asked the students, "What would you do if you were an xx?" Under my guidance, the emotional floodgates of the students suddenly opened, and they spread their wings of imagination, pouring out their own wonderful ideas. Their imaginations were as colorful as neon lights. Some said, "If I were a police officer, I would catch all the thieves; Some say that if I were a textile worker, I would spin various types of yarn; Some say that if I were a flower, I would unfold my most beautiful posture for people to appreciate... There are all kinds of wonders in heaven, earth, and sea, let their imagination run wild. For a moment, the classroom was bustling with activity, and the students were fully focused and devoted to teaching, creating a good starting point for writing.
2、 Connecting with life opens the door to thinking
Ye Shengtao once said, "Life is like a spring, and writing is like a stream. The spring is abundant and never dried up, and the stream flows endlessly." Social life contains rich writing materials and is a "big classroom" for students to practice. Every little detail in life is a colorful painting and a moving song. Therefore, we should organize more students to learn in social classrooms, guiding them to engage with life, society, and nature. Allowing students to personally experience, observe, and analyze the things around them, experiencing the boiling reality of life, and directly obtaining materials that reflect the social style and customs, as long as we are good at discovering and accumulating with heart, our writing ability will naturally blossom and improve. In daily writing guidance, I actively guide students to open the door to thinking, connect with life, do hands-on exercises, and speak, paving the way for successful composition. When guiding the essay "True Thirst Relief", I asked the students to relate to life, perform the action of drinking water, and then talk about the comfortable feeling after drinking water. The students immediately had a 'movie' playing in their heads, and based on their life experiences, they rushed to speak up. Some say that I picked up the cup and drank it big and big, and the water slid down my throat and into my stomach. Ah, it's so refreshing! Some say that I picked up the cup and drank two large cups in one gulp, ah! Really thirst quenching. Some say that water flows through my throat and into my stomach, into every cell in my body. Ah, it's so comfortable For a moment, the classroom atmosphere was very lively, and students enthusiastically spoke up. It can be seen that once the door to students' thinking is opened, their expressions will gush out like springs of water. Students unconsciously enrich their knowledge and master writing skills.
3、 Speak freely and broaden the space for expression
Words are the voice of the heart ", and students' expression is their heartfelt" confession ", which is a conscious and autonomous expression. Students taste the sweetness, bitterness, and spiciness of life, with joy, emotion, grievance, and anger... At this time, let them express themselves freely, regardless of form or content. When students are eager to express their emotions, they will speak the truth and express their true feelings. When students start writing, it is no longer a heavy burden and distress, but a joy and relaxation of self release, a pleasure and balance of emotional eruption. For example, after a physical education class, students are asked to talk about their feeling of "thirst". After a brief recollection, students raise their hands one after another. Some say that their lips are dry and their skin is lifted up; Some say that the dry throat is also a bit hoarse; Some say that their throat is as dry as smoke; Some say that the tongue is not as flexible as usual even though it is sticky... Students can freely express their unique feelings in the vast space of freedom. Ba Jin once said, "What moves people's hearts is true feelings, not words. Only by arousing the emotions in students' hearts can their expressions be more layered and profound
4、 A collection of stage essays presented in written form
Squat down and have a conversation with the child. When the child's essay is completed, the teacher should learn to view it with an appreciative eye, praise it with enthusiasm, and appreciate it with a sincere heart. At the same time, the teacher should try their best to provide a stage for students' writing to showcase. Recite students' compositions with genuine emotions, read out the content that students have unique insights and express their true feelings, and ask students to compile their own essay choices. Have classmates, teachers, and parents write prefaces; Organize students to create a class composition poster and design the layout and illustrations themselves; Open up a "composition wall", conduct excellent composition exhibitions, and select "new stars in composition"; Utilize class bulletin boards; Set up a column for "Appreciation of Excellent Sentences" and publish excellent sentence segments from students' compositions; Step out of the class and recommend student works to the school magazine and campus radio station; Encourage students to participate in the school's "poetry recitation" and various "essay competitions" to experience more happiness and success.
Writing with joy and enjoying pleasure in writing is what the new curriculum standards require and what we pursue in teaching. By adopting this method for teaching related writing, after almost a year, 90% of the students in my class have become more articulate and willing to express themselves, whether it is picture based writing or essay writing. Their writing abilities have also greatly improved. For example, Chen Na's "Beautiful Campus" in our class was featured in "Today's Lianxiao"; Meng Lei's "I Have a Dream" and "A Corner of Campus" won the second and third prizes of the whole school respectively; Zhang Yan's "Dad, please have a cup of tea" has been included in the school's excellent essay collection, while Zhou Ling's "Comply with Traffic Safety" and Wu Saili's "Make Paper Birds" have been selected and broadcasted by the campus radio station... From these achievements, it can be seen that keeping students away from the troubles of writing, writing happily, and living easily is the eternal essence of composition teaching.
