Three paths to enhance teaching effectiveness

[Abstract]: Writing is not only a need for people to express themselves and communicate information, but also a comprehensive reflection of one's language ability. Elementary school composition is even more important, as it is the most fundamental aspect of cultivating writing skills and serves as an enlightenment for developing children's reading and analytical abilities.
This article mainly focuses on how to teach writing methods to primary school students. The research is conducted from three aspects: expanding reading scope by increasing reading volume, cultivating students' interest in writing, and enabling students to master writing methods and skills. Effective teaching methods for teachers in writing teaching are obtained.
[Keywords]: reading volume, writing interest, reading notes, diary writing, review and revision
1、 Expand reading scope by increasing reading volume
Reading is an important means for students to learn and accumulate their knowledge of the Chinese language, and only through accumulation can they achieve great success. The new curriculum emphasizes the importance of accumulating language skills, and making language accumulation the top priority for students while reading is also an effective means of improving their reading and writing abilities. So, we must increase students' reading volume and enable them to accumulate more language skills. The most important way to accumulate language skills is through in class and out of class reading, which is also an important way to improve overall language literacy. In class reading, increase word and sentence reserves, guide students to repeatedly read and recite, enhance language sense, and cultivate self-learning ability; Extracurricular reading, increasing reading volume, expanding knowledge, accumulating good vocabulary and sentences, etc.
Taking good reading notes is an important way to accumulate language skills. Teachers should not only guide students to take good reading notes in class, understand the examples and classic texts in the text, but also constantly encourage students to read more books, newspapers, listen to and watch children's radio and television programs, and watch excellent compositions. They should also guide students to take good reading notes outside of class, recite and memorize more, and conduct regular checks. Students can also be provided with some famous quotes, ancient poems, and children's poems, requiring them to read them fluently and learn how to apply them.
2、 Cultivate students' interest in writing
British educator Locke once said, "The best time for children to learn anything is when they are interested and want to do it." Interest is the best teacher, and when students have interest, they love to write and enjoy writing, which can improve the quality of composition teaching. I think doing the following aspects well can enhance students' interest in writing:
Encourage and praise more. The new curriculum standard points out: "Pay attention to things around you, be willing to express yourself in writing, and enhance your confidence in writing." Praising and encouraging adults can also be effective, let alone children. We should be good at discovering students' highlights in their compositions, giving timely affirmation, praise, and motivation. This can build students' confidence and stimulate their desire to express themselves.
It is advisable to be lenient rather than strict. If students start writing, they will have very strict requirements and they will be afraid to write. As long as students are willing to observe and willing to express themselves in writing, we should treat them with 'tolerance'. Firstly, students should be allowed to write freely. Based on accumulating a certain level of emotional understanding, students should be guided to write according to certain norms, encouraged to write boldly, choose their own content and form of expression, and truly reflect their true feelings and emotions, rather than giving too many rules and regulations that restrict their thinking. When they have a certain foundation in writing, achieve a sense of substance in their words, and have a certain level of understanding and sensitivity, then guide them to combine observation, thinking, and expression, learn how to analyze topics, propose ideas, select materials, organize materials, and practice writing "careful writing". Step by step, gradually improve.
Develop a good habit of writing a diary. Keeping a diary regularly can definitely improve one's writing skills. Students' extracurricular time is very limited, and if they are frequently asked to write the entire article, it will undoubtedly make them feel 'too much but too little'. Therefore, I encourage students to keep more diaries. Although there are fewer restrictions on word count and writing style in essays, it allows students to fully express their emotions in their diaries. So, I encourage students to write more diaries, provide guidance on writing, and conduct evaluations. Students often write diaries and take reading notes, which makes their writing more familiar and enriches their materials. Some of the content is also applied to their compositions, thereby reducing the difficulty of their writing.
Read excellent compositions with multiple demonstrations. There are many students in the class, and there will always be some who are interested in writing, while others who excel are also very talented. Displaying excellent compositions is also a good way to stimulate students' interest in writing. Teachers who are interested in writing can also showcase works that are suitable for students to read, which is also a way to inspire students to enjoy writing.
3、 Enable students to master writing methods and techniques
Starting from keywords and sentences, analyze the topic and propose ideas. The appearance of keywords and sentences in the material often implies the center of the material. Usually, proposers will integrate their personal understanding and knowledge of the material into the proposition, hoping that the writer can empathize with others to understand the intention of the proposition. Therefore, when guiding students to write material essays, we should encourage them to choose key words and phrases from the materials as breakthrough points for their conceptual perspectives. To accurately grasp the theme and intention of the material, it is necessary to grasp the key words and phrases that appear in the material as a whole, and determine the center of the composition through careful analysis of the proposition intention.
For example, I gave a student this material: a wealthy person visited a philosopher and asked him why he became increasingly narrow-minded and selfish after becoming wealthy. The philosopher brought him to the window and asked, "Look outside, tell me what you see." The rich man replied, "I see many people in the outside world." The philosopher then brought him to a mirror and asked, "What do you see now?" The rich man replied, "I am myself." The philosopher smiled and said, "The window and the mirror are both made of glass, the only difference is that the mirror has a thin layer of silver, but because of this silver, you only see yourself and cannot see the world
After reading and understanding, students understand that windows and mirrors are made of the same material, but the difference is that a layer of mercury is added to the surface of the mirror, which makes people no longer able to see through the glass or others, but only see themselves. The key to this material lies in the thin layer of mercury that allows the rich to only see themselves and not others, losing themselves. There are many people in this world who prioritize money, just like the wealthy. In their eyes, besides "money", family and friendship are not within their scope of thinking. For them, I want to shout: Drill out that tiny money eye! In your eyes, there will not only be yourself, but also the whole world. There are many methods and techniques for beginning and ending, such as: "Design suspense to attract readers." "Get straight to the point, clarify the viewpoint." "Design suspense to attract readers; The methods of ending include "beginning and end echoing style", "famous quotes and phrases style", "natural ending style", etc. But for middle school students, I think giving them some basic methods is enough. The beginning can usually be "time, place, character style" or "imitation opening style", and the ending is usually "natural ending style" or "perception style", which students can easily understand and accept.
So, when teaching reading texts, I also pay attention to encouraging students to memorize short beginnings and endings. After memorizing more, I naturally understood some basic methods for beginning and ending.
Teach students basic grouping methods. A general article consists of several paragraphs, each with its own meaning. Some of the middle paragraphs can be summarized with a central sentence at the beginning, and each paragraph is related to the theme of the article. The middle paragraph reminds students to "pay attention to writing clearly the content that they find novel, interesting, memorable, and most moving." This is also a requirement of the new curriculum standards.
Starting from middle school, essays can generally consist of three natural paragraphs, or three to five natural paragraphs. Use easy to understand language to tell students what to write for each natural paragraph and how to write it.
The camera captures the appropriate timing for writing. Third grade is the starting stage of students' writing, and we should be good at capturing the appropriate writing opportunities and providing students with writing training. We can grasp the training points in the textbook and use typical sentence, paragraph, and essay writing styles in the text as examples to guide students to learn how to write in practical writing. Various activities and events from daily life can also be used as themes to guide students in writing. You can also make full use of methods such as writing and telling stories for training.
Effective essay editing. The evaluation and revision of assignments is also a basic way of teaching students how to write. If we teach students too many writing methods and techniques, I think most students in the middle grade will be confused. We teachers should evaluate our teaching more based on students' compositions, so that students can further understand how to write.
Common Methods for Primary School Chinese Composition Teaching
In fact, the content of the assignment is like building a building with bricks, stones, cement, and steel bars, and the technique is its drawings. For writing skills, they should be taught during guidance classes, but I think it is more appropriate to combine them with students' compositions for appropriate instruction.
