【Abstract】
The description of details is the most intuitive and effective writing technique to depict character images narrate story plots, and express psychological characteristics. Proper use of detailed description can make readers feel as if they see the person and are present in the situation. Therefore, teachers pay attention to the effective guidance of detailed description in composition teaching.
The famous writer Jia Pingwa said: "Detailed description is like the green leaves and flowers that grow on the tree trunks in spring. With it, the becomes alive." The composition is full of charm because of the details. In actual composition teaching activities, we should help students discover the beauty of details, teach students how to record, and help students understand the important role of detailed description in the composition teaching activities.

1. Taste the details through high-quality reading
Reading teaching is an important part language teaching and has an indispensable influence on composition teaching. Therefore, in the daily teaching process, I pay special attention to guiding students to appreciate specific detailed description segments, so as to that detailed description permeates the description of characters, scenery or scenes. Let students read repeatedly, feel the important role of detailed description in the text, and internalize it, laying foundation for reference and application in their own compositions. For example, in the sixth grade of the first volume of the unified textbook, the micro-novel "The Bridge" shaped the image of an old man who is both an old party member and a father. In teaching, I pay attention to guiding students to pay attention to the details of the description appreciate the character's image. Especially in the two sentences of the article, "The old man suddenly rushed forward, grabbed a young man from the queue, and roared:Are you still a party member? Step back!'" and "The old man roared: 'Stop talking nonsense and go quickly.' He pushed the young man hard onto wooden bridge." These two sentences are worth savoring when viewed together and contrasted. The two "roared" and the expression of the two plot conflicts can allow students to the role of detailed description in the article. Similarly, in the same volume of the textbook, in the lesson "The Poor", the poor life of the Russian lower-class described by Leo Tolstoy is an experience that students cannot touch, but the detailed description of the environment in the text can help students enter the text, characters, and authors. example, the two sentences of environmental description in the text, "The fisherman's wife, San Na, sat by the stove mending a broken sail" and "The in the house was not lit, and the room was damp and cold." In the teaching process, I asked the students to delete the word "broken" and the two "" in the sentence and read it again and appreciate it. In the process of comparative appreciation, students achieved a perception of the essence of detailed description.
2. Capturing nuances with meticulous observation
After all, writing articles aims to reflect the of social life. To capture those vivid and authentic details in life, we need a pair of keen eyes that are adept at observation. For instance, when it comes to the demeanor of students studying hard, each person exhibits different expressions. Some may furrow their brows in deep thought, others might bite their pen caps in contemplation, while some may intently with their full attention focused. Even the same person may display different behaviors in different settings. Vivid details can add color to an article. However, not all life possess literary value, nor is it sufficient to simply write "in detail." For example, a student in my class, when writing an essay titled "Cartoon Teacher," a passage that read: "I love Teacher Zhang the most. He is diligent and responsible in his work and frugal in his life. One day, I made a mistake, and Teacher Zhang called me to his office. As soon as I walked in, he sternly stared at me with a few veins visible on his forehead, and he severely pointed out my mistake. He talked a lot, and the tea on the table had already gone cold. In short, Teacher Zhang is a good teacher, and I often miss him." This passage reflect the student's observation of Teacher Zhang, even capturing the detail of the tea going cold. However, because the student did not select details to express the character's traits, discarding what was unnecessary, such detail description was unsuccessful. It is never advisable to observe everything in great detail without discrimination. So, how should effective detail observation be conducted I require my students to grasp four principles: First, observation should have a clear purpose, ensuring that it is targeted and purposeful. Second, observation should capture the characteristics, ensuring it is typical and vivid. Third, observation should strive to be meticulous, ensuring accuracy and specificity. Fourth, observation should achieve thorough understanding, ensuring that the essence is gras. By following the above four requirements and engaging various senses in in-depth observation, and then organizing and refining the observed details, the phenomena of real life become vivid, concrete, and lively detail description materials. With a rich accumulation of such materials, a solid foundation is laid for writing good articles.
3. Painting details with lively writing
There many techniques for detail description, among which extending the process is a method that is relatively easy for students to understand and apply. What is extending the process? Simply put, it is the slow-motion display technique in film. For example, when narrating an extraordinary basketball game, the action description "the teammate passed the basketball to me" can be appropriately extended the student, detailing the process of the action, the psychological state, and the detailed movements, thus amplifying the details and making the composition more vivid. After revising and ref, the student changed the above sentence to: As the game neared its end, we were only one point behind the opponent, and the ball was in the teammate's hands Would he pass the ball to me? Just as I hesitated, I saw the teammate turn sideways to avoid the blocker, and his gaze shifted towards me. Immediately after he steadied his steps, held the ball with both hands, and threw it with force. The ball came straight towards me. Without time to think, I instinctively turned the of my body and raised my hands high to receive it. With a "slap" sound, the basketball landed steadily in my hands. The passage vividly depicts the state of passing the ball through verbs such as "pass," "hide," "gr," "throw," and "catch," complemented by appropriate descriptions of psychological activities and sound effects, which is precisely the magic of detailed description. "A drop of can reflect the brilliance of the sun," and this method of detailed description, which prolongs the process, may not occupy a large segment, but it can add color to entire article.
Furthermore, the essence of detailed description lies in its vividness, so it must be carefully refined, with each word and sentence weighed carefully. Sometimes, a word can be divine, and a phrase can be startling, such as Jia Dao's "pushing and tapping" and Wang Anshi's "Spring breeze once green the south of the Yangtze River." In fact, there are countless writing techniques related to detailed description, including details and omissions, dynamic and static balance, point surface combination, and the use of blank space. We, as teachers, can integrate the guidance methods for detailed description with the unit composition requirements based on our own practical experience and students' situation, so that students can truly have a systematic approach when writing compositions.
The "Course Objectives" in the "National Curriculum Standards for Chinese Language" require to "be able to mobilize their language accumulation, deliberate and refine their language, and strive for accuracy, distinctiveness, and vividness in expression." In compositions, detailed can make the characters come to life on paper, as if they are right before your eyes; it can also make the plot of the story ups and downs, moving and tortuous After entering higher grades, teachers should think more about strengthening the guidance of students' composition detail description, guiding students to learn to appreciate details, capture details, and describe details.
